Main focus:Prof. Castaldi is a graduate in chemical engineering of Manhattan College (B.S., M.S.) and UCLA (Ph.D.). After nearly ten years of industrial research on combustion and catalysis, he joined Columbia in 2004. He is a member of the executive committee of ASME’s MER division, Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee of the Earth and Environmental Engineering Department and Associate Director of the Earth Engineering Center.
