BIOWASTE STUDY TOUR 2017

29.5. - 2.6.2017, Belgium

This five-day Study Tour is developed and led by Christof Delatter of Interafval on behalf of VVSG - the Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities. The Programme includes seminars in legal, planning and communication issues for biological waste management plus technical tours to 3 operational mega-sites in the cities of Kortrijk, Ypres and Geel.

The Programme includes challenging seminars in legal, planning and communication issues including:

  • regional and international policy on biodegradable waste

  • organising separate collection of biowaste in densely populated and rural areas
  • Flanders' high separate collection rate (over 71%).
