Prof. Faulstich appointed to the Scientific Board of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research

Professor Faulstich appointed by the Board of Trustees for four years.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Faulstich was appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) by the Board of Trustees from 1st January 2010 for four years.

The Postdam Institute investigates climatic change in its entire complexity, devises strategies for a sustainable development of humankind and nature and generates interdisciplinary information for decision making in policy and economy.

The Potsdam Institute, member of the Leibniz Association, was founded in 1992 and now has a staff of about 210 people. PIK is managed by Professor Hans Joachim Schellnhuber CBE (Director) und Professor Ottmar Edenhofer (Deputy Director. The Scientific Advisory Board consists of twelve Scientists from six countries, particularly Lord Nicolas Stern and Sir Brian Hoskins.
